最近在背包客網站看到有再出租房間的訊息. 看到了這個字眼 "Utility".


utility 是不是有水電網路等等的意思, 就是說 一種服務的意思.


意思是 我想問 : 有什麼"東西"是被包刮在租金內? (東西意指水.電.網路費用等等)...

utilities normally include water, electricity, and gas.
you can ask your landlord " what utilities are included in my monthly rent?"
if you are renting a house or condo, i also suggest you asking your landlord about trash and sewer. my rent does not include either one, but the good thing is they are super cheap

"Utility" normally means the services provided by the public utilities, such as the power untility (power supplies company), water utility (water board), and gas utility.  These bills normally come together as the utilities bill.  For example, in California, this is handled by the company PG&E.

Utilities normally do not include internet services, or waste management.

Internet services: 網絡服務。

Waste management: 垃圾處理服務。
